Let’s face it, there’s money to be made in childcare. And if you do it from home, you can be paid in cash! But watching children is not easy. It’s a huge responsibility and it can be quite stressful. And you must check your local county for home daycare laws.
During this tough economy, I decided to open up a home daycare center with a twist. The thought of having a houseful of children every single day made me a tad anxious, so I came up with a plan to make a little extra cash just one day per week. I call it “Mom’s Day Out!”
I host Mom’s Day Out every Friday and here’s how it works: I spread the word to all of my mommy friends and neighbors about my babysitting service. Every Friday I will baby-sit for moms on the go from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, so that they can get grocery shopping done, make doctor’s appointment’s, run errands, schedule a spa day or have lunch with friends.
I charge $5.00 an hour per child and I ask that parent's bring a bag lunch. I provide snacks, drinks and activities like: storytime, music, arts and crafts and more.
Mom's Day Out is a great way to make some extra money and is the perfect opportunity for busy parents to get their errands done sans kids!
