How to Make a Peach Banana Strawberry Smoothie on a Budget

My family has become addicted to real fruit smoothies.  Not a bad problem to have considering the fact that smoothies are healthy, filling and quite refreshing as well!  And you can easily make smoothies at home using a few simple and economical ingredients.  Here's a basic recipe for a fabulous peach, banana and strawberry smoothie on a budget.

Mix the following ingredients in a blender:
  • One cup of milk
  • One small container of strawberry yogurt (priced at just 35 cents at Aldi)
  • One banana
  • Two cups of frozen peaches (sometimes available at the local dollar store)
  • A handful of ice cubes
Blend on medium until smooth and enjoy.  This peach, banana, strawberry smoothie serves three people.  And for even creamier results you can add in a cup of whipped topping.

Here's a wonderful and healthy snack mix recipe for kids: http://mybudgetland.blogspot.com/2011/04/healthy-kids-snack-mix-on-budget.html
