How to Make a Bird's Nest Centerpiece on a Budget

Easter is right around the corner and if you're hosting this year, why not create a fabulous handmade bird's nest centerpiece for just a few beaks, I mean bucks?  Here's how:

  • Obtain a large brown paper bag (for free) from your local grocery store.  Smash and crumple the bag down to form a nest shape.
  • Drizzle on some clear drying glue and layer your bird's nest with beige and brown raffia ribbon that can be purchased for just a few dollars at a craft shop.
  • Place real colored eggs into the nest.  Or you can even purchase larger decorative eggs at Michael's craft stores for a few bucks each and display them in your nifty nest.  Remember to sign up for Michael's email ad and receive coupons up to 50% off.
  • Present your bird's nest centerpiece on a budget along with a nosy porcelain bunny nearby for a whimsical table display.
